HEARTBEAT unites Israeli and Palestinian youth musicians to build critical understanding, develop creative nonviolent tools for social change, and amplify their voices to influence the world around them. This Spring 2016, two of Heartbeat’s most experienced youth musicians will tour the U.S. alongside Heartbeat’s Founder and Director Aaron Shneyer for a series of intimate events. Through their powerful performances and personal stories, Heartbeat musicians reflect their inspiring hope and constructively shed light upon the struggles of life amid conflict, sharing the transformative experience of co-creating music and fostering critical understanding together. Each event offers an extraordinary window into the lives of these courageous young artists, highlighting the power and success of the Heartbeat program and building support to expand Heartbeat’s music and dialogue opportunities for Palestinian and Israeli youth.
