12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
This congregational meeting is one of two regular opportunities that members have each year to participate in making big decisions that impact the whole congregation. In addition to awards and a sneak peek at the Stewardship focus for the year, the agenda for this meeting includes the Board election. See the attached document for statements from the six candidate for seats on the UUCB Board of Directors.
In keeping with our faith’s fifth Principle, we want every member to be able to vote and participate in the democratic process we use to govern ourselves as a faith community. It is also important that we follow our church bylaws with regard to voting. Our bylaws (article 4.1.1) require that in order to be active, voting UUCB members, we make a “contribution of record” each year. If you are a UUCB member but have not made a contribution of record in the last year, you will soon receive a letter in the mail. This letter will invite you to make a contribution before February 9, so that you can vote at the congregational meeting.
Our bylaws also state that new members may vote 60 days after signing the membership book. If you have questions about your membership status or a contribution you have made, please contact Alisa Gould Sugden in the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org
. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
