Dear Congregants:

The UUCB Board of Trustees has called a Special Congregational Meeting for Sunday, October 27, 2019 in the Sanctuary following the worship service because we need your approval of some changes to the list of capital projects funded by the congregational vote in January 2018.

Our church’s new Executive Director, Tess O’Riva, has been very busy dealing with some major facilities needs: replacement of the Sanctuary furnace in time for the winter months, upgrading the cottage to make it attractive for renting out, and the unanticipated expense of having to replace 120 feet of gas line. Unless some generous donors come forward with the funds to support these projects, we need to pay for them out of the Board Designated Endowment rainy-day funds.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for you to hear more about this and, we hope, to authorize a shift in priorities for some of the remaining portion of the $758,000 approved for capital expenditures last year.

We look forward to seeing you on October 27^th. Groups scheduled to meet at 12:30 that day should plan to convene at 1:15. Absentee ballots will be available on October 20^th and before the service on the 27^th for those who are unable to attend the congregational meeting.
