Widening the Circle Of Concern
Final Recommendations
Presented to the UUCB Board of Trustees
September 1, 2021, 7 pm
Dear UUCB Family,
Have you heard about the UUA “Widening the Circle of Concern” book on systemic racism and supremacy culture in the UUA and in UU Congregations?
Did you know that UUCB created a Widening the Circle of Concern Task Force that has spent the last year (August 2020-August 2021) reading the book and coming up with specific recommendations for UUCB?
Last month, at the August Board meeting (8/4) we presented a preview of what we’ve been up to. Click on this link for the document titled “WTCOC-Outline of 8-4-21 presentation to the Board“ for a summary of that presentation given in August 4, 2021.
Make sure to come to the September Board meeting (Wednesday, 9/1, 7 pm) where we will discuss our FULL recommendations report with the Board. The final report link is below.
The Widening the Circle of Concern Task Force final report is available to read here: Widening the Circle of Concern Task Force Report to UUCB Board and Congregation
For the ZOOM LINK to the Board meeting: (Members of UUCB, please see email from ANN HARLOW, Secretary of the Board, for the link to September 1, 2021, 7 pm Board meeting).
We hope to see you there!
