Personal Theology: Now What? An Integral View of the World We Face, Dr. Karen Voorhees

UUCB Member, Dr. Karen Voorhees, has given several presentations at Personal Theology about her optimism for the future of our species and planet. Today she will revisit this subject in the light of current events. In times of such turmoil, uncertainty and distress, how can we prepare ourselves for what lies ahead?
BIO:
In 1981, just as Karen Voorhees was finishing her Ph.D. in cultural history, she discovered her spiritual path. She left academia to pursue her meditations while making her living as a homemaker and becoming active in the not-for-profit world. In 1997 she managed the 501c3 incorporation of her guru’s organization Know Thyself as Soul Southwest. From 2003 on much of her time has been dedicated to late-life and hospice care for elderly friends and relatives. Her passion for big history, the humanities and spirituality have remained with her throughout. They are now driving her current “retirement” career as a writer of visionary fiction.
