Lifecycles
This session introduces the mystery and wonder of life cycles through the concept of metamorphosis. This age group is fascinated by the “magic” that turns a caterpillar into a butterfly, or a tadpole into a frog. Through creative engagement children gain the experience of metamorphosis and change.
Take Home:
Today we examined metamorphosis and the many ways that this process is a wonder and a mystery.
Take a walk: identify natural happenings that continue to be a mystery. How does it feel to sit in the mystery?
Color: Find a picture of a butterfly to color. Pay close attention to all the details while discussing metamorphosis and change.
