4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Hosted by:
Tess O’Riva, Executive Director, UU Church of Berkeley
Joe Chapot, Ministerial Assistant and Young Adult Coordinator, First UU Society of San Francisco

Unitarian Universalism has a long tradition of congregational priority, with people connecting to their geographically nearest UU church. In the Age of COVID, we have an incredible opportunity to bridge the gaps between our many congregations and reach the unchurched.

All UUs of any age are welcome to join us for the first Bay Area UU Meetup! This event will kick off a project to bridge the gaps between our congregations, to build a network of UU communities around the Bay Area, and unlock the power of our collective actions. We request children attend with their guardians or associated adults.

From lay leadership support, to professional and ministerial collaboration, to every UU and friends just getting to know one another, there is so much potential.

The plan for this first meeting is to get to know one another, start a working group to guide this work, and sketch out what events and infrastructure will enable our communities to thrive.
