The concert will celebrate the rich musical heritage of the African and African-American cultures in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights March in Selma, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War. The concert will feature African drummers and accompanist Cara Bradbury. Directed by Cindy Beitmen. People from all neighborhoods will be coming to UUCB to hear the concert and listen to the origins of the Negro Spirituals that were coded songs of survival and liberation during enslavement. Our own UUCB and Social Justice Council member, Barbara Weisman, is one of the singers. Please support this choir and project.
General admission: $20.00. Seniors and Students: $15.00. Children under 12 are FREE.

Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge that this church occupies land in Huchiun in the unceded territory of the Chochenyo-speaking Ohlone people. May we have the humility and courage to do our part to restore what has been broken and the wisdom to live into a new solidarity with Indigenous communities and the earth.
