Today, we will discuss stewardship of the earth and environmental responsibility. We will examine cause and effect relationships in regard to the environment, and discuss ideas for how to ameliorate undesirable changes. We will learn about tree rings, and how to re-use everyday objects in creative ways. We will also commit to actionable items that increase our own commitment civil responsibility and reduce our carbon footprint.

Take Home: Brainstorm and create a list with your child of ways you and your household could become more energy-efficient and less wasteful. I.e. food waste, water usage, things that go in the trash, and energy usage. Looking at the energy bill, creating a goal usage, making a game out of meeting that goal can be a great way to keep this fun!
