Please click this LINK to join the Zoom session at 9:20 a.m. to participate in this wonderful talk at 9:30 a.m.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Recruitment Coordinator, AlVaughn Rodgers, will talk with us about how Volunteers work with high risk teens and are authorized to appear in Court with them. UUCB Member, Natalie Campbell, was able to get this important organization to speak with us about its work.  Mr. Rodgers is a wonderful speaker and the work of the CASA organization has helped so many of our children and youth.

Advocate for Children and Change a child’s life.
Court-appointed special advocate (CASA) and guardian ad litem (GAL) volunteers (what they’re called varies by location) make a life-changing difference for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Each volunteer is appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interest in court. Our volunteers help judges develop a fuller picture of each child’s life. Their advocacy enables judges to make the most well-informed decision for each child.
