We are saddened to share that Rev. Sue Magidson died on the evening of Friday January 2, in a beautiful light-filled apartment in North Berkeley she chose for the last chapter of her life. She was surrounded in her final weeks by a circle of loved ones she invited to accompany her through a third journey with cancer.
Sue joined as a member of UUCB in 2000, and was eventually called to the ministry and ordained by our congregation, becoming an affiliated Community Minister. She served as a part of the chaplain team at UUCB, and also enjoyed preaching, teaching, and officiating at weddings and memorial services.
A memorial service will be held at UUCB on February 15, 2026, at 2:30 pm. All are invited to attend or to watch the live-stream on our Facebook Live or YouTube channels.
