See below for Diane’s advice on “How To Catch Your Dreams”
This is a developed habit. We all dream every night , sometimes several times a night in REM sleep (rapid eye movement). Most of us dream workers use this way to aid memory: have a blank journal and a pen and light by the bed so upon awakening you can immediately write the dream down. Also, and this is hard to do, make no judgement about the dream as you write it down. Look at the written dream later in the day, and your awareness of its meaning will expand and evolve. You will be working with symbols and metaphors and intuition.
The longer you have to study or express the dream, the more layers of meaning will reveal themselves. Sharing it with a partner or a group can amp up the meaning of the dream. Being in a dream sharing group is fruitful and deeply fulfilling. I’ve been in a group for over thirty years meeting bi-monthly and it has changed my life. I’ve written down thousands of dreams and made hundreds of art images. Won’t you step through the dream door?
