35 years ago, a segment of ABCs 20/20 featured two lesbian families. Church members, Kerry and Cynthia, were one of the couples, and a part of the segment was filmed at UUCB. Gay families are no longer considered an oddity, and the struggle for LGBTQ+ rights has certainly shifted. So this is a look-back, a part of UUCB’s history. We have been part of the movement for gay equality for a long time. We can see how far we’ve come and use that as inspiration to keep going!
