A UUCB Special Fall Community Book Read

THE BEADWORKERS: STORIES by BETH PIATOTE

Today, in the Fireside Room @ 1:30 pm, Dr. Beth Piatote  (pie-a-tote) will present an author talk and Q & A based on her book, The Beadworkers: Stories.

Dr. Piatote is Nez Perce, enrolled with Colville Confederated Tribes and is an associate professor in the Departments of English and Comparative Literature at UC Berkeley.  A short story collection, The Beadworkers is a poignant and compelling exploration of the Native American experience.

The Honoring Indigenous Peoples Group invites you to join us for this dynamic talk.  There will be snacks & the unveiling of a bead working project crafted by members who’ve previously attended discussions of the book.

Please contact Helen Tinsley-Jones for more information.
