

APRIL 2026 ACTIVITIES IN CELEBRATION OF OUR SACRED EARTH
Saturday, April 18, 9am to noon – Eradicating Invasive Species at UUCB!
Phil Maynard, native species champion, will host a work party to remove invasive species from our beautiful church grounds.
Sunday, April 19 – Earth Day Sunday Worship Service
Led by Rev. Dr. Kathryn Jay.
Sunday, April 19 – Celebrating Nature at UUCB
During the service, Phil will take the RE children and youth on an outdoor nature hike and even dissect an owl pellet!
Friday, April 24, 7-9pm – Growing Our Green Sanctuary: With Love, Honor and Resolve
This all-church gathering will feature voices from children and youth, UUCB members, and community leaders sharing their love and their actions, big and small, to support a healthy planet for all. We’ll have music, sharing, an honored guest from Tiny Village Spirit, and a speaker from California Interfaith Power and Light. We’ll explore the Green Sanctuary Four Essentials and commitments we can make for a healthy planet. Optional: Bring vegan finger food to share.
Saturday April 25, 9-11am, 11-1pm – Bird and Plant Walks at UUCB
Phil will lead bird and plant nature walks for all, the bird walk from 9am-11 and the plant walk from 12-1pm. Meet at entrance to UUCB for both.
Sunday, April 26, 10am-1pm – Alternative Transportation Fair
We’ll offer an alternative/clean energy vehicle and transit show in the front parking lot. Come see the many ways you can travel while green!
