Water Communion is a unique Unitarian Universalist (UU) ritual celebrated at the start of the church year in late summer or early fall. It symbolizes the coming together of the community after a time apart during the summer months.
Participants bring small amounts of water from a place that holds personal significance—such as from a vacation, a local river, or even their home tap. During the service, these waters are combined into a communal bowl, symbolizing the coming together of individual experiences into one shared spiritual journey.
Our Board invites everyone for a light lunch after the service to celebrate the beginning of the church year!
