The Multicultural Institute’s mission is to accompany immigrants in their transition from poverty and isolation to prosperity and participation. Our core constituencies are Latino immigrant families and other youth and adults lacking access to critical services in the communities of Alameda, San Mateo, and Contra Costa Counties. These programs include the promotion of economic and educational opportunities for immigrant adults, especially day laborers, after-school tutoring and mentoring programs for under-served youth, and adult leadership courses.
