On Saturday, June 14th, there will be a terrific opportunity for our community to step out and voice our commitment to our UU values of justice and love.

Joining hundreds of other cities across the country, a march and rally will take place in Oakland to mark NO KINGS DAY – a day to protest the lawlessness of our current administration, a day to insist upon the rule of law and the importance of human rights.

People should gather at Wilma Chan Park in Chinatown, 810 Jackson St. between 8th and 9th Streets, at 12:45 pm (plan to arrive early – the Lake Merritt BART station is nearby).

The march will begin from there at 1:00 pm and proceed to Frank Ogawa Plaza at City Hall for a Rally, with music and inspiring speakers, including Congresswoman Lateefah Simon, concluding by 3:00 pm.

Come in your yellow UU shirt! Join other UUs from around the Bay! Let’s make our dismay heard.

Visit the Civic Action table for more information.
