Back for 2023, the LFDMC is again hosting a presentation in honor of Black Music Month.
This year highlights the music of African American musicians but this time with the focus on the themes of Resilience and Resistance.
The presentation will be on ZOOM to allow for easy playing and listening to song selections.
All of your favorite songs and many new ones will be played. You’ll have a whole new play list of songs after the presentation–and a whole lot of new information about the music that became the sound track of many of our lives.
Jim and Cordell’s initial thoughts are to divide up the music from different decades and to engage in discussion with participants after each decade.
The planning is still happening but the event is definitely on for 1:30 p.m. on June 4, 2023, on Zoom.
