Dear Beloved Members of the UUCB Community:online on Zoom, at approximately Noon – immediately following the 11 o’clock worship service. Please click the link at the bottom of this email for the full agenda and minutes of the last meeting. Our upcoming ministerial search will be a featured topic, with a presentation and question & answer period led by Dr. Melissa James, from the Unitarian Universalist Association/Pacific Western Region. She welcomes questions in advance; please send to Board Secretary Ann Harlow at secretary@uucb.org. We also will honor this year’s Flaming Chalice recipients for extraordinary service: Jim Acock, Sheldon Jones, Elaine Miller, and Helen Tinsley-Jones. Our Stewardship Team will provide a sneak peek into our upcoming pledge goals; Widening the Circle leadership will inform us about anti-racism and anti-oppression initiatives; and we will get an update on capital project improvements completed, underway and planned. We will express our deep gratitude to departing Board Members Kerry Simpson, Ariel Smith-Iyer, and Ann Harlow, as we also make the transition to the installation of a newly constituted Board of Trustees. Please vote in the election for three seats on the Board of Trustees. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the candidate statements. Voting is open from January 30 to the start of the February 13 congregational meeting. Vote via this link. There will be a brief Board of Trustees meeting immediately following the Congregational Meeting to elect officers. Finally, I want to express appreciation to the members of this year’s Nominating Committee, convened by Board Vice President Helen Tinsley-Jones: Dayana Claghorn, Lynne Cahoon, Max Jenny, Robin Cooper, Sandy Portillo-Robins, Selene Fabiano, Terry Stokes, and Victoria Bowen.
