About the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley

about

aboutUUCB is a spiritual community where members and friends of all ages articulate our shared values, shaping meaning and worth out of the material of our lives, our communities, and the larger world. Worship is at the heart of congregational life and is our central commonly held spiritual practice. By incorporating the wisdom and art forms from many traditions into worship services, the diversity of these cultural and spiritual practices brings us into deeper connection with and understanding of the world around us.  Regular participation over time transforms our members’ lives toward greater depth, joy, and meaning.

Here you will find a vibrant and growing community of diverse people—young, old, multi-racial, LGBT—all following their hearts and minds in pursuit of learning, spiritual growth, and creating a more just world. See New to UUCB? for more.

The church buildings and grounds are located in the Berkeley Hills and overlook the entire San Francisco Bay. A truly magnificent vista. The church buildings are available for rent by the larger community for weddings, memorial services, and fundraising events.  Please visit our rental section for more information.
