CRACKING THE CODES: THE SYSTEM OF RACIAL INEQUITY

Are you discouraged and despairing of how to make a difference? Afraid to engage the topic of racism? Here’s a fresh perspective on the internal and external structure of racism!

Join us for a Video and Experiential Workshop for UUCB, based on the work of filmmaker and racial equity educator Dr. Shakti Butler. Presented by educator, diversity trainer, musician, and cultural arts ambassador Amikaeyla Gaston, “…we must begin within ourselves and embrace a new way of interacting with one another. Cracking The Codes is a blueprint on how to begin that powerful journey.”

Sponsored by the UUCB Social Justice Council & UUCB World Peace Committee

Presented by the Literature, Film & Drama Contingent of UUCB’s Confronting Racism Project

$10 donation suggested. (No one turned away for lack of funds. If you want to attend, we want you there!)

MORE INFORMATION: Download the Conversation Guide for Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity from www.world-trust.org.

“Is this workshop right for me?” Call 510-356-3496 to leave a message that will be answered by a UUCB Social Justice Committee member.

We are planning this event as a safe and supportive environment for the UUCB community to grow and learn about this painful but crucial topic.
