The Winter Solstice is a time to journey inward and reflect on the lessons, joys, and sorrows from the past year. It is also a time to celebrate the light and darkness that is in each of us. Join us for a time of readings, reflection, songs, stillness, and ritual in honor of the Solstice.
In this service for all ages, we will hear the story of Nasruddin’s coat, sing harvest hymns, and give thanks and praise as we share in our annual cornbread and grapes communion.
Explore the mythological stories of the selkie in this Gaelic inspired service. The selkie is a seal that turns into a woman but then must give up her human form to return back to the sea. We dive deep into what this ancient motif teaches us about modern life – the sacrifices we make due to burn out and how to be resilient in the face of it.
