The mission of the liberal church when the times are evil needs discernment grounded in history, experience, and reflection. Dr. Buehrens will offer us some insights grounded in the teachings of the late James Luther Adams, whose response to the rise of fascism in the 1930s recommended both deeper theological realism and resilience grounded in more deliberate spiritual practice.
