11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Family Ministry Office, R.E. Building – Rooms 1 & 2

Today, we will further explore our interconnectedness with the web of life, a topic began in the previous session, and focus on the miracles of internal transformations and how those affect the web. We will open with a tale from Irish folklore, sing songs about internal transformations, and explore hexaflexagons. Lastly, we will reflect on how behavior can change our relationships and how we change each other; we will invite students to share stories.

Take Home: Explore ways that you, your family members, and/or the student have transformed throughout your lives. These changes can be on the level of personal preferences: did you suddenly decide you hated pink, loved mangos, or wanted to listen to nothing more than German polka and/or the soundtrack for The Little Mermaid? Or on a communication level: did you learn how to say something new like “No thank you” or “Excuse me” and feel empowered by that skill? Or, did you learn how to use kinder words when speaking to friends? Allow that to lead into a bigger topic on how behavior can affect relationships.
