Peaceful Choices

Today we will be exploring how our choices matter and how this ties in with our 6th principle of creating a peaceful world. When we pay attention to our actions and choices we can learn a lot about ourselves and the ways that we impact and effect our world. Our UU principles help guide our choices and decisions. How can we create a just and fair world through our decision making? Why does this matter?

What are choices that we make everyday and how do they affect our larger world? With each other’s help and guidance explore ways that we help each other make decisions in our everyday lives. What are the automatic decisions we make and what decisions take more effort?

Do a meditation or breathing exercise in which attention is paid to small choices. Play a game to connect small choices to larger choices. Look at a world map and use yarn or ink to demonstrate how a choice made here can impact a different part of the world.
