“Behold, I do a new thing,” the prophet Isaiah wrote, and we celebrate this Sunday the never-ending possibility of resurrection. The easier path of cynicism invites us to protect ourselves by scorning the ever-deficient world around us. The harder path of hope demands we place faith in futures we can’t yet imagine.
