Love Surrounds Us in our Search

Today we will continue our focus on our 4th principle by learning an understanding of how our search for truth is surrounded in love. As UUs we are not bound to one single belief, set of beliefs, or creed, however, we do value the search for any belief and truth. We will explore this idea through story and creative engagement. Through focusing on love surrounding our search we will be able to support others in their search and be supported in our own.

Today we explored the value in the search for truth and meaning by examining how each of us finds value and importance in our own search. We explored symbols, rituals, and beliefs of others as well as ourselves. How does this show up at home? If there are differences in belief, how is that affirmed and celebrated?

Extend this exploration by identifying beliefs that friends and/or family espouse that are different from one another. How do groups of people (such as friend or family groups) deal with differences in belief? How can this be beautiful?
