Love Surrounds Us in Ritual

Today we will learn about the importance of ritual and the many ways it connects us as Unitarian Universalists. What are the ways that rituals connect people through time and space? How do we see these rituals in our daily lives? Focusing on the value of rituals will help us all connect to the strength and power of our shared faith.

Exploring the purpose of rituals is a great way to understand the concept behind rituals. Engage in an exploration around family rituals, whether they be social, spiritual, or practical. What are some rituals that you see in everyday life? Consider creating new rituals or paying closer attention to already established rituals.

Discuss cultures and traditions other than your own and identify rituals within those contexts. What is similar, what is different? What binds us all together?
