Through their theory of liberation, RYSE Center creates safe spaces grounded in social justice for young people to love, learn, educate, heal and transform lives and communities. Since RYSE opened its doors, it has served over 4,000 students with sanctuary and healing spaces, counseling and peer support rooms, weekly programs in poetry, computer skills, cooking, spoken word, graffiti art, music and dance. RYSE provides a SAFE space for Richmond youth.
