Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a sexuality education program rooted in Unitarian Universalist values. This class for 7-9th graders equips teens with accurate, age-appropriate information to help them make informed decisions about their sexual health and behavior. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, it provides facts about anatomy and human development, as well as helps youth clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality. Key topics such as body image, gender and sexual identity, peer pressure, social media, consent and healthy relationships are covered with sensitivity. As the youth explore these themes, facilitators emphasize co-creating a positive and safe group dynamic for all participants.

Key OWL dates to put on your calendar:

–The first (mandatory) Parent Orientation is on September 17th at 12:30 pm in the Fireside Room.

–Classes for 7-9th graders will begin Sunday September 24th, from 1pm to 3:30 pm
