The Web of Life

This session introduces our human relationship to the earth, the basis for this program which is expressed in our seventh Unitarian Universalist Principle: respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. Through creative activities and exploration we will engage in what it means to care for the earth, recognize our interdependence in our human communities through group covenant, and recognize that our behaviors affect one another.

Take Home

Talk about the ways in which your family is part of the interdependent web of life. Discuss the ways members of a family are interdependent and the ways individuals in a family influence one another.

Engage one another in what it means to be in covenant together, perhaps by making a family covenant.

Explore the wonders of direct experience in nature by taking a walk and paying attention to the ways that nature works together.
