In a relaxed, cabaret-like setting, many singers from our community share beguiling love songs from the classics to Broadway to jazz. No one turned away for lack of funds. The Thermodynamics of Justice
“The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” As our country joins many other countries around the world in turning away from the yet unfulfilled promises of liberal democracy and seeking salvation instead in authoritarian nationalism, it can be hard to see that justice shaped bend. Can we stay faithful to the work of justice here and now even when our national politics have gone so far astray?
